REFERRALS TO BURNGREAVE FOODBANK AS FROM 15/04/2020
As from Wednesday 15th April 2020, Burngreave foodbank will be closing both it’s centres at (Burngreave and Darnall) and operating by delivering all food parcels directly to each client at their home address, until further notice.
We believe that in the current situation with the Coronavirus pandemic, this is the safest way of ensuring that we can still continue to get food to those who need it the most.
Deliveries will be made on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week between the hours of 12.00 and 17:00

Referrals will need to be made by E-referral (see below). Once you have generated and completed a voucher online, you will only need to send us the voucher code.
To facilitate the operation of the deliveries we will be asking all referral agencies to move to our Electronic(E)-referral system. which allows you to generate and complete a voucher for each referral online and then send us the code by email.
Signing up to use the e-referral system is a relatively simple process but we do realise that many are working under extreme difficulties and with staff shortages at the moment and won’t have time to have to read through a lot of extra information right now.
To help you, two of our volunteers have kindly agreed to assist you with this in whatever way you would find most helpful, whether it is to send you the written information or to talk you through it via a phone call at your convenience. They can be contacted at;
If you have not yet signed up for e referrals please contact them at your earliest convenience so that this can be arranged as you will not be able to make a referral without it.
IMPORTANT – As from the week commencing 20/04/2020 ALL referrals to Burngreave Foodbank will need to be made by e-referral.
We will not be accepting referrals by email or red voucher after this date, until further notice.
If you are an agency manager it would greatly assist us if you could pass this information on to all your colleagues/staff.
